So I’m going to be going to Florida for about a year. I need to take bed sheets, towels, etc. I won’t have enough time or energy upon landing to go buy all the stuff. So I’m wondering if there are any vacuum seal bags/containers that everyone recommends, and if they are safe to take on a plane. They will be going in my checked baggage, not in carry-on bags.
Thanks!

I’m moving to New Zealand in the fall for a year, and in addition to clothing I’d like to bring my own bedding, pillows, towels, etc. Space Bags seem to be great for compacting these sort of things down to a smaller space, but they require a vacuum to seal them back up.
Does anyone know if vacuum hose sizes are the same in the US as they are abroad? Will the vacuum hose in NZ fit the nozzle on my US space bag?

My bf and I are moving across the country (2,600miles) and we are only taking one car and a top carrier for it. I would like to vacuum seal all of our clothes, blankets, towels, etc in vacuum bags storage.
Is there a good way to make my own vacuum seal bags, maybe out of big garbage bags?
Has anyone ever done this, or used the already made ones to get more room in your car?
